Find Comfortable Contact Lenses

Contact lenses might be right up your alley if you’re looking for a change from glasses. These lenses can help you see clearly without the assistance of frames. We can help you find comfortable contact lenses that provide clear vision.

Visit one of our locations for a comprehensive contact lens exam and fitting. We’re excited to find the best lenses for your needs.

We’re Here for Your Contact Lens Needs

Contact lenses are a great alternative if you’re ready to trade in your glasses. Glasses have several benefits over traditional glasses—they:

  • Don’t block parts of your vision
  • Don’t fog up or get wet in bad weather
  • Move with your eye
  • Provide more natural vision than glasses

While contact lenses can be beneficial, they require care and maintenance to provide safe and comfortable vision. At Family Vision Care we’ll conduct a contact lens exam, recommend the lenses best suited for your needs, and teach you how to care for and maintain your contacts.

What Happens During a Contact Lens Exam?

Our contact lens process includes examining your eyes and fitting your new contact lenses.

Your Exam

Your contact lens exam includes a conversation about your previous experience with contact lenses if you’ve ever worn them. Additionally, we’ll discuss your lifestyle and medical history to understand your vision needs.

We’ll also conduct an assessment of your eyes to determine if contact lenses are a good fit for you. We’ll evaluate your tear film to see if you have dry eyes and measure your eye’s surface using diagnostic technology.

One tool we use is an autorefractor, which helps us determine your contact lens prescription and measure the surface of your eye. This diagnostic tool allows us to recommend lenses we feel best meet your vision needs.

We’ll review your exam results and make recommendations during the fitting portion of your appointment. While we’ll offer our perspective on the best lenses for your needs, the final decision is yours. We’ll order your new lenses once you feel comfortable with your decision.

We’re always available to help if your contact lenses have complications or you want to try a different lens.

Contact Lenses We Offer

It can feel overwhelming with many contact lens types and brands to choose from. We can answer any questions or concerns you have about these different contact lenses.

Soft Contacts

Soft contact lenses are one of the most commonly prescribed lenses. Made from flexible plastic, they’re comfortable and easy to wear, making them a good starting option for contact lenses. Soft contacts can come in extended wear or daily disposable options.

Rigid gas permeable (RGP) lenses are durable and easy to handle. They consist of a harder lens material that lets it keep shape easier, providing crisp and clear vision. While these lenses provide clearer vision, they can take longer to adjust to.

Multifocal contact lenses are ideal if you have a condition like presbyopia. They feature multiple prescriptions per lens, helping you see from near and far distances. Different types are available, depending on your needs and preferences.

MiSight 1-day contact lenses are ideal for treating myopia progression for kids as young as 8. Children replace these lenses daily, making them ideal for someone newer to contact lenses. These lenses feature a center zone to correct vision, and alternating rings surround the lens center to correct and control myopia.

Colored contact lenses can change the color of your eyes, helping you change or enhance your appearance. These lenses are similar to standard contact lenses, with added color in the lens.
